Made Sin
God made Christ, who never sinned, to be sin itself,
so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
(God put the wrong on Him who never did anything wrong,
so we could be put right with God.)
- 2 Corinthians 5:21NLT/(MSG)
By Ramone - August 29, 2009
He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows...
He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,
and by His wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all...
He was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people He was stricken...
Yet it was the Lord's will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes His life a guilt offering,
He will see His offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in His hand.
After the suffering of His soul,
He will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by His knowledge My righteous servant will justify many,
and He will bear their iniquities...
He poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For He bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

Slave to Desire
By Ramone - August 20, 2009
"They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity..."
(2 Peter 2:19)
This was something God showed me when I was praying for some people who are working as prostitutes in the hopes of saving up enough money to reach their dreams one day. Material wealth looks like freedom, so they reach for it in every way possible. These ones aren't in slavery to prostitution, but are in slavery to the dream of prosperity, which promises freedom but leaves them only hurting their hearts and bodies in order to "get there."

Gallery notes:
August 2009 and December 2008
The first half of this gallery is the "Dostoevsky Sketches" which were mostly done last year December. I posted them because I recently re-read "Crime & Punishment" for the first time in about ten years, and now I'm happily re-reading "The Brothers Karamazov".
I love God's grace, I love all that He has done. The remaining pictures of this gallery speak of that: of how He took us in our lowliest state and there He loved us and gave everything for us, taking our place, and bringing life out of our darkness.

Pleasing Him (神を喜ばす)
By Ramone - August 9, 2009
One day when I was coming home from a prayer walk, I felt sort of "gone" or out of God's presence. Empty, drained, or on auto. And so I sought to enter His presence, to get back in with Him. I tried this, I tried that. A song? Tongues? A "prayer" or some scripture or declaration? But He just wanted my heart. He wanted me to just turn to Him with my heart. I heard Him saying,
"What do I want? What do I have need of? What am I pleased with?See also: "All I Want is You (No Magical Spiritual Words Necessary)"

What's the theme here?
Probably something like this:
"Focus!"
Or "Re-Focus!"
"Look again!"
"See for the first time!"
(>_<) Thanks, God! (>_<)

Saved!
By Ramone - August 6, 2009
Lift up your eyes to the heavens,*****
look at the earth beneath;
the heavens will vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment
and its inhabitants die like flies.
But My salvation will last forever,
My righteousness will never fail...
For I am the Lord your God
...who set the heavens in place,
who laid the foundations of the earth,
and who says to Zion,
"You are My people."
- Isaiah 51:6,16
