Queuing for Bread
By Ramone - September 9, 2006
Yesterday I was walked past the Osaka Evangelistic Tabernacle. They must have just finished an evening meeting and were giving out food to the many homeless lined up to receive.
The sky was very blue, and the sun was setting over Nishinari ward. The Dobutsuen-mae/Shin-Imamiya area where OET is located is not the most beautiful area of Osaka. It's dirty & run-down, and has many homeless people. There seems to be a general air of depression or hopelessness over the area. Yet above was this large, beautiful, clear sky. I wondered if people sometimes look up.
